Cooper & Cary Have Words
#140 What's So Funny About Race? (with Sherri Lynn)
Cooper & Cary have words with Sherri Lynn about her comedy The Bold & The Sanctified, in which two pastors - one black, one white - are forced to join congregations. You probably haven't noticed this, but race and racism is currently a bit of a third rail issue. Probably best not to touch it. And especially don't touch it with comedy. One of Sherri's friends said before the show launched, "Don't do it." So why did she? And what have been the results?
BONUS: off the back of our episode with Aaron Renn (#138), we ask Sherri whether men and women should be friends.
